About Isabelle :)
I’ve always been a visual person as colors and picture books were my doorway to art. Hence, I’m a huge believer that visuals play a fundamental part in keeping children curious and eager to learn. What a child goes through at a young age will affect them as they grow. I found a great way to teach children is through good books with vivid illustrations. There’s always something so magical tapping into the creative realms of unicorns, fairies, and dragons, where anything imaginative can happen, good or evil.
My aim is to be a children’s book illustrator aiming to tell stories through art. Whether it’s through a story, a poem, or a hidden narrative in design, I love to attach meaning to art through storytelling. My art reflects my love of bright colors to captivate children’s interest. I also play around with “hidden motifs” to engage adults and keep children curious.
As art is tapping into a world of surprise, I love talking to God before starting a project. Knowing that He has a plan and will guide me through keeps my mind at peace so I may enjoy the journey. Right now, my favorite mediums are watercolor and gouache. I love their fluidity and have found them the best way to connect with God.
In my spare time, I cook/bake, babysit, write, practice piano, or relax on the beach.
